King County Recognizes Clocktower Media as a Best Workplace for Recycling and Waste Reduction in 2009

Kirkland, WA--Wednesday, July 29, 2009 -- Seattle web design agency, Clocktower Media (CTM) was recently recognized by King County for successful waste reduction and recycling efforts in the ‘Best Workplace for Recycling and Waste Reduction 2009’ program. This is not the first time Clocktower Media’s green efforts have been recognized. Last year, CTM made the cut for the ‘Waste Reduction & Recycling’ chapter of the Kirkland Green Business Program. Clocktower Media is honored to be acknowledged by King County among other proactive businesses, restaurants, hotels and manufacturers to make the list this year.

In order to qualify, CTM had to meet at least 10 criteria from a provided list of good business recycling practices. CTM easily met the criteria as a result of actions taken in recent years. For example, CTM instituted paperless billing for clients, issued desk side recycling containers and purchased glassware/dishes for the kitchenette. Through increased recycling, CTM has also been able to reduce the amount of overall waste. This group of young web professionals understand that small individual actions can be taken to make a big change!
