KIRKLAND, WA—October 3, 2008—Kirkland’s Clocktower Media receives recognition for participating in the Waste Reduction & Recycling chapter of the Kirkland Green Business Program. This establishment is aimed at recognizing Kirkland businesses for taking action to become more environmentally-friendly.
Among the six options suggested by the city for becoming a “green business”, Clocktower Media took actions in each category, but opted to put an extra emphasis on waste reduction and recycling in the office. One effective means was to provide all employees with desk side recycling containers. In addition to their recycling efforts, Clocktower Media also took steps to reduce overall waste by encouraging clients to make payments online rather than by mail.
